Raleigh's new 2023 Motus Tour Crossbar uses the Bosch Active Line Plus motor, a 400Wh battery and large and easy to read and operate Intuvia display.
With a relaxed, very comfortable and posture pleasing upright seating position and style, the Motus Tour Crossbar models offer a confidence building riding style for new ebike riders with its predictable but direct handling.
The Raleigh Motus Tour Crossbar has undergone a major frameset overhaul for 2023.
Starting from scratch, Raleigh have redesigned the entire frame to fully integrate the Bosch Active Line Plus motor and 400Wh battery, better hiding and incorporating them both into the frame, in to bring it fully up to date for 2023.
Brakes & Gears
The Raleigh Motus Tour models are equipped with Shimano's BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes both front and rear. These offer solid on and off-road performance with easy reach adjustment.
These levers and calipers, paired with 160mm rotors at the front and back of the bike offer exceptional bite and great modulation, making them a great choice for a variety of terrain and riding styles. Hydraulic brakes are now very much standard on top quality ebikes, taking just a small amount of pressure to generate a stronger stopping force.
The 2023 Motus Tour Lowstep models are available with a derailleur geared setup. The most commonly gear selection type on bicycles, a derailleur setup is more easily maintained and adjusted.

Hydraulic brakes are a staple of newer town and city style bikes, where reliability and longevity are key.
Shimano derailleur gears are simple and easy to use, with a wide ratio choice for multiple terrain use.
Alivio 8 speed thumb shifters are sleek and simple to operate and make light work of the Sunrace cassette.
Wheels & Tyres
Raleigh have used their own factory rims on the Motus Tour Crossbar models for 2023 with Shimano hubs and 700c rims. The 36mm wide rims offer the ability to fit a wide choice of tyres.
Raleigh always offer a top quality tyre on their bikes, and the Schwalbe Road Cruiser is no exception. Predominantly aimed at paved road use, it'll stand up to light gravel paths and the occasional byway, if thats where you happen to end up!

Although the Raleigh Motus model line has been overhauled for the 2023 model year, it will retain its reputation for being a solidly built and ultra reliable bike from one of the UK's oldest biking brands.

Power
The new 2023 Raleigh Motus Tour Crossbar eBike features the Bosch Active Line Plus crank drive motor, 400Wh PowerTube frame integrated battery and Intuvia display system.
The 250w Active Line Plus system outputs 65Nm of torque and peaks at over 500w! It certainly packs a punch, offering up to 270% assistance in turbo mode. Featuring 4 levels of assistance (and remember you can always turn the power off and ride it as a normal bike) ranging from 40 to 270% assistance.
The Motus Tour Crossbar features the latest 'PowerTube' Bosch 400Wh battery technology for 2023. Completely integrated into the frame, it's neatly designed it so it can be charged both on and off the bike.
For 2023 Raleigh have equipped the Intuvia display, offering all the essential parameters on one easy to read display, including:- Speed, assistance mode, average, speed, range, odometer and battery bar. This display can be removed from the bike acting as a security immobiliser for the system.
The bright, easy to read and use Bosch Intuvia display is effortlessly simple to use and offers the rider "at-a-glance" speed, power mode and battery information.
The Bosch Active Line motor is as synonymous with Raleigh as they are with the UK bike industry and is ultra-reliable.
The now hidden Bosch Powertube 400Wh battery is neatly integrated but can be removed from the bike for charging if required.
What's included
Your new electric bike gets a full set-up by our workshop technicians ahead of delivery.
Your eBike will arrive with a user manual, keys (where applicable), charger & free follow up service (at our service center) within 3 months of delivery.
This electric bikes includes a 5yr warranty on the frame, 2yr warranty on all the electrics and 1yr warranty on the components. In the event of a problem, we handle all warranty claims via our dedicated support in-house.
E-Bikeshop is a UK Electric Bike Service Center and our in-house workshop is exclusively reserved for our own eBike customers. We have time to support the eBikes we sell.

We generally keep over 150 eBikes built in our showroom. Note: Some models shown as 'Pre-Order' may not be in the showroom to view as the bike is still due from the supplier. We can also give you the opportunity to ride a similar electric bike so you can get a feel for how electric bikes work prior to purchase.
Should you wish to purchase, we give the option to take it away that same day (subject to stock) with any extras fitted and a handover session on the bike itself by one of our eBike experts.

For delivery on 'Pre-Order' items, the estimated arrival date is shown at the point of order. On arrival our team will make contact to settle any outstanding balance. Once settled in full, we'll then proceed to dispatch your new eBike without delay.
