Cube Touring Hybrid One 500 Crossbar 2022

I pre-ordered the bike, it arrived before e-bike shop said it would. Always fantastic to deal with a company that delivers ahead of what it commits to. The bike - well I am soooo impressed! I have done over 400 miles on it and its great. One thing I did not fully appreciate about Hybrid E Bikes - they are just so comfortable and you feel so much safer than lets say on my Cube Carbon road bike.

You sit higher so you can see more easily around you and take it what the traffic is doing. Ruts and potholes you can just ride over without having to zig zag around dangerously. The brakes and tires are also superb. So far I have done 95% of my riding in eco mode, but its comforting on the really hilly stuff to have 3 other higher power settings.

The motor is so subtle and quiet you hardly know its there - except when you switch it off!! The only problem I have had is the chain coming off a few times when going into the highest gear downhill, - not great! Its really quite difficult to get the chain back on again because of the chainguard and weight of the bike. I wonder if that would justify the cost of the better gears on what looks like fundamentally the same bikes but more expensive in the Cube hybrid range the Pro and Kathmandu. Lastly its comfort means I go further, I dont have to wear lycra and I think I get more exercise. Spend £2k on this, not on Peleton in your lounge!!

I have owned this bike for 5 months today and I have not looked back from the very first ride.
Today, my odometer now reads just over 500 miles (since July).
The bike is everything I wanted and more. Its given me so much more freedom and confidence.

I think the bike looks great and works really well. I thank you for your customer service and getting the frame size correct for my height, as I ordered the bike online.My criticism would be; having invested £1900 in a bike, that it should have come with an alen key and a small spanner to tighten up the pedals, as part was a self build. The cost of these would be minuscule compared with the cost of the bike.

Great Bike for the pize does what an electric bike does let the rider go further than normally the rider would go and great if you are commuting in the city. Plus Steve the person who sold me the bike was excellent his customer service was 1st Class.

I am 59 years old and seriously unfit. I was looking for ways to get me out of the house and to improve my fitness. Cycling seemed to be a good way to do this, but because of my fitness level I was not confident that I would get good use out of a bike. After talking with the ebikeshop team, I settled on the Cube Touring 500 with the addition of a cobi bike system. The bike is incredibly easy to ride and has enabled me to explore the countryside with ease. After just 1 week I am covering 30-40 km’s everyday.
