First Look: Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 & 160 2020 Electric Bikes

We take a first look at the new 2020 Cube Stereo Hybrid electric mountain bikes with the latest Bosch CX Gen 4 Motor and brand new carbon frames.
We took on Cube to offer a great range of good quality German built bikes with the renowned Bosch system at an affordable price. What we didn't anticipate...
Is that they'd show us a brand new electric mountain bike range for 2020. Consisting of carbon fibre frames, the new Bosch Performance CX eBike system and the longer-range 625Wh battery... All for ££££'s less than every other manufacturer on the market.
But how do they do it? I was speaking with the CEO of Cube Bikes, who have been manufacturing bikes in their custom made bike factory based in Waldershof, Germany since 1993. The company can now produce up to 2,500 bikes a day in the 55,000 sq/m site.
The key is close relationships with their suppliers, this means they can produce bikes earlier than their rivals & at a more competitive price. In fact, Cube bikes are the largest bike company for Bosch eBike system purchases. This shows in the finish and pricing on the new Cube Stereo range for 2020. We've selected the top two bikes from both the 140 and 160 Stereo ranges.
Remember, all the bikes we mention below have a brand new carbon fibre frame, the new Bosch Performance CX motor system and the larger capacity 625Wh Bosch battery. Let's take a look:
2020 Cube Stereo Hybrid 160mm eBikes
The new Cube Stereo Hybrid 2020 eBikes are built for all-mountain and enduro riding, whilst still being sprightly enough for singletrack and cross country.
Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC Action Team 625 2020
The new Action Team is the top of the range bike featuring FOX Kashima coated factory series suspension, a full Shimano XT 12 speed drivetrain and Race Face finishing kit.

Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 HPC SL 625 2020
The HPC SL is the baby brother to the model above, using the same frame, motor and battery, but with RockShox suspension, Magura brakes and a full Sram NX Eagle drivetrain.

2020 Cube Stereo Hybrid 140mm eBikes
The new Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 2020 eBikes are built around everyday trail biking, be it single track, cross country or all-mountain.

The new Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC SL is built on 140mm of trail travel. Offered with Fox suspension front and rear, Shimano XT brakes and the new XT 12 speed drivetrain.

Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC Race 625 2020
The HPC Race is the entry-level model in the Cube Stereo range. Built on the same frame, motor and battery as the others. But with RockShox suspension, Shimano brakes and a full Sram NX Eagle 12 speed drivetrain.

Summary
All the new Cube Stereo 2020 eBikes come with a built-in dropper post and hidden battery technology. They are all available to buy this side of Xmas.
As usual Cube bikes tend to sell out fast! We'll be trying to manage stock levels so we have some for everyone. But as always the earlier your pre-order, the earlier you get a new bike.
